Friends Like Family - Special Friends Program

In our special friends program we highly focus on collaboration with our partnering organizations, we strongly emphasize on combining our in house services, with our local behavioral, and medical healthcare institutions, together with our other community integrated organizations and resources, but above all, we recognize a person's family as a foundational component to this collaborative process.

The special friends program includes housing with around the clock staff trained and experienced in the Consumer/Peer support models; with an emphasis on being highly capable of making our participants feel accepted, understood, cared for, and have a sense of belonging in our safe communal environments. For nourishment we offer independent cooking, with supplies, and grocery shopping for ingredients, included, our participants also have the option to opt in our communal cooking system. Our participants must be enrolled in school or participate in some type of occupational program (we offer a limited list of occupational resources).

Before being accepted into the special friends program, a full Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) will be developed through our collaborative process, which will include identifying all the services and resources that are relative to the individual, what will be provided with our in house services and what will be provided by a partnering healthcare or community organization. We have a strong standing and professional relationship with a wide ranging list of partnering organizations but we are always excited and happy to develop new close working relationships with additional community Oriented organizations.
